It wasn’t all about doom and gloom, though. Hip hop icon Missy Elliott dropped the catchiest song of the year alongside a now-iconic music video, while Korea’s “baddest female” CL teased her American debut with the uber-confident, dance-floor thud of “Hello Bitches”. And that’s without mentioning the fact that Antony Hegarty is back with a new moniker Anohni, and a new track “4 Degrees”, a glorious, string-soaked protest song against everything that’s shit in America.
