D'ANGELO – "THE CHARADE"

All we wanted was a chance to talk/ ‘Stead we only got outlined in chalk/Feet have bled a million miles we’ve walked,” D’Angelo croons in deep, silky tones over raw drums and funk-swollen bass lines in "The Charade", a track that takes sharp aim at systematic, institutionalised racism. It’ll be released alongside "Thousand Deaths", which also appeared on this year's stand out album Black Messiah. Plus, there’s only 500 copies being pressed, so get in there quick.

A$AP ROCKY – "LORD PRETTY FLACKO JOYDE 2"

This spacey, hook-popping track from our favourite French braid-swinging, grill-wearing Harlem rapper will be released as a 7” coloured vinyl alongside the stupidly catchy, streetwear-dissing track "Multiply". So whilst Rocky’s not dropping any new releases at this year's RSD, two of his latest ones will be rolled up into one sweet vinyl.

J DILLA – "FUCK THE POLICE"

It’s a message that never gets old, and one that has never been more timely. This year, you can get a re-mastered, re-release of J Dilla’s 2001 out-of-print classic "Fuck the Police", which never appeared on any of his albums. But that’s not the best bit – it’ll come pressed as a 9” picture disc in the shape of a policeman’s badge, with a custom-made pocket, making it a sure-fire collectible.

GRACE JONES – "I NEED A MAN"

Anything remotely related to Grace Jones fills us with excitement, so don't miss this reissue of her first ever single, the shuffling disco essential "I Need a Man", which was recorded way back when she was still walking the runway for Saint Laurent and Kenzo in Paris. You’ll need to hurry though – there are only 1000 vinyls being pressed for the occasion.

FLORENCE + THE MACHINE – "WHAT KIND OF MAN"

Last month, we delved into the electric aesthetic of Florence and the Machine’s visceral, Vincent Haycock-directed video for her heart-pumping track "What Kind of Man". This track will be released as a 12” heavyweight blue vinyl alongside never-been-heard-before track "As Far As I can Get".

ESG – THE "MOODY" EP

There’s nothing quite like listening to an ESG track on vinyl on a summers day and cranking it up to 100. This year, the Bronx sisters will be re-releasing their exceptional polyrhythmic-shaped post-disco classic on 1000 freshly pressed 12” green, blue and yellow splattered records.

RUN THE JEWELS – "BLOCKBUSTER NIGHT 2"

Last year's dark, bass-rattling second album from hip hop duo Run the Jewels immortalised the sinister state of the world in one killer record. Now, grab three tracks from the aforementioned album (including "Blockbuster Night 2") but, more excitingly, there will also be an unreleased track, "Bust No Moves", featuring rapper SL Jones.

SOKO – "OCEAN OF TEARS"

This fuzzy slice of half-romantic grunge-pop from LA singer Soko came out earlier this year and totally blew us away. Check out the dreamy ode to getting stoned in the Hollywood Hills on a special 7" alongside a slow version of the song. Blunts at the ready.

DONNA SUMMER – "IN ANOTHR PLACE AND TIME"

It’s not all about "I Feel Love" and "Love to Love You Baby", you know (although if you don’t own those on vinyl by now you should rethink yourself). Anyway, this year Crimson Records has produced an exclusive edition of "In Another and Place and Time", one of Donna’s lesser-known ballads which appeared on her fourteenth (yes, fourteenth) 1989 album of the same name.

WARPAINT – "FEELING ALRIGHT"

In the most made-for-each other collab since Bjork and Arca, Daughter and Warpaint have joined forces to reinterpret each other’s work in an exclusive release for Record Store Day. Warpaint have remixed Daughters sweet, hypnotic track "Winter", whilst Daughter have created a remix of Warpaint’s darkly atmospheric "Feeling Alright."

Record Store Day is on April 18. Check out the full list of releases here
