At this year's festival, during a Run The Jewels performance, a man caught Killer Mike and El-P off-guard and stormed the stage during their performance, attempting to assault El-P. It didn't appear to be part of the fun. Run The Jewels were performing to a packed crowd at the Spotify stage in Austin after releasing one of the hip-hop albums of 2014, Run The Jewels 2. It's unclear what the assailant's motive for going after El-P was, but his attempted attack was swiftly quashed by Killer Mike and security. It ended acrimoniously for the assailant, who after being forced from the stage was hit with a devastating knockout blow. Watch the fan footage below. Liked this?
