MusicNewsKanye dropped into Katie Eary's pop-up to play his new albumProof that the designer pop-up is far from dead at London Fashion WeekShareLink copied ✔️February 23, 2015MusicNewsTextZing Tsjeng It feels like there's a designer pop-up opening every other week, but one guy definitely isn't tiring of them: Kanye West. On Sunday, he turned up to Katie Eary's London Fashion Week pop-up in Soho and turned it into a spontaneous listening party for his new album. West and Eary's relationship goes all the way back to 2011, when he sent her an email expressing his love for her flamboyant streetwear designs. She ended up working on the rapper's initial collections for two seasons. Eary has long supported Kanye's design ambitions, saying in an Life+Times interview last year that the fashion press were "far too harsh" and "totally unnecessary" in their criticism of his early work. She took to Twitter to thank Yeezy for showing up: @kanyewest@Reneluv@virgilabloh thank you for coming 💖💖💖💖💖— katie eary (@katieeary) February 22, 2015So Kanye just turned up to @katieeary pop up store and turned it into his album listening party .. I'm not complaining at all #LFW— Vas J Morgan (@VasJMorgan) February 22, 2015Oh and the album is BANGING!!! 😍🙌 #Kanye— Vas J Morgan (@VasJMorgan) February 22, 2015 West said last week that the album is 80 per cent finished and will probably be a surprise release a la Beyoncé. But if you're dying to listen to the new album, our tip is to hang out in Paris this week when the shows kick off – this isn't the first time he's commandeered Fashion Week for an impromptu listening party. At Paris Fashion Week last season, West held a similar listening party for the record.
