Kanye West has had a busy couple of weeks: he debuted his first collection for adidas during NYFW, dropped "Wolves", a new song with Sia and Vic Mensa, and has just released details about his forthcoming follow-up to Yeezus (it's 80% done!) in an hour-long interview on Power 105's The Breakfast Club this morning. But as these now-deleted tweets show, he's still up for a good old Twitter rant. Especially when it's taking aim at the fashion industry.

As Racked reports, Yeezy went off on one at about 4 in the morning before quickly scrubbing the tweets from existence. But this is the internet, so nothing ever dies and everything is just screencapped for future posterity.

He started by going in on NYFW creator Fern Mallis, who told the New York Post: "I'm kind of over Kanye. I mean, I'm not a fan of his music, and the attitude and the agenda is not my style."

"Since Fern Mallis, I just want you to understand that attempting to do clothing has been very difficult and I have encountered countless amounts of bigotry along the way," West said. "I have millions of ideas and I represent a new generation just trying to express themselves in a broken world."

"I don't call myself a designer as I was not allowed to go to Saint Martin's (sic) because I was too famous by the time I realised I wanted to design," he added. "Fame is often looked down upon in the design world so it's actually been something I've had to become. All we have are our dreams and you can step on our dreams and ideas all you want but we won't stop fighting. We want to innovate and we will win someday."

In 2011, West met with the now-departed Central Saint Martins professor Louise Wilson to discuss the possibliity of landing a place on the MA course. He did not get onto the course, although there was clearly no bad blood between them – West was in London today to attend Wilson's memorial service.

West's adidas collection clearly rattled the fashion establishment, which veered between praising his show to telling Yeezy to stick to music. Washington Post fashion critic Robin Givhan said that he would do better to focus on one thing or the other, citing the example of Victoria Beckham and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen: "In both cases, their primary job now is fashion. It’s not acting, it’s not singing, it’s not performing... They are focused on fashion, and they’re not treating the fashion industry like it’s their part-time jobs."

Nah, Yeezy's not going to do that either. In his Breakfast Club radio interview, West said that the album was "80 per cent" done and would be dropped as a surprise release. Fans should expect "bars, songs, cookout music that just feels good. My last album was a protest to music, I was like 'I'm gonna take my ball and go home'...This album is embracing the music, joy. Being of service to the people. I just hope people like it and enjoy it".
