MusicNewsLil B combines love of veganism with emoji in vegEMOJI appThe Based God really, really loves his vegetablesShareLink copied ✔️January 29, 2015MusicNewsTextZing Tsjeng Renaissance man, sometime MIT lecturer and rapper Lil B is coming out with another emoji app – and this time, it's all about veg. As reported by the Fader, the Based God himself has teamed up with a vegan food company called Follow Your Heart to create vegEMOJI. Lil B's first emoji app, Basedmoji, featured images of Lil B in sky blue leggings and various deep V-neck t-shirts. vegEMOJI contains quantitatively less V-necks, but instead consists of messages like "cool people are kind to animals", "plant-based 4 life" and winky-face Vegenaise bottles. Veganaise is a vegan mayonnaise manufactured by Follow Your Heart, and I can personally confirm is not as awful as it sounds. The Based Overlord announced the team-up with Follow Your Heart last year in his now-infamous lecture at MIT. "It took me a long time to align myself with another brand," he told students. "There's a lot of brands that come to me, and they might offer any amount of money, but I'm not going to just conform or change the vibe of my brand or my ethics or what I stand by for money." vegEMOJI The company's director of accounting said today that the partnership with Lil B "couldn't be a better fit". He added: "Follow Your Heart has built a grassroots following over the last 40 years as the highest-quality manufacturer of vegan foods such as Vegenaise (the best sandwich spread in the world), the same way that Lil B built his following and became the most well-known independent artist of our time. Lil B stands for love, positivity, and being true to yourself, and he also stands behind our principles of quality, compassion, and sustainability. We're so excited to be spreading positivity with Lil B! Follow Your Heart and keep it (plant) based!" Exciting times for vegans everywhere. Download vegEMOJI here.
