MusicFirst LookDrift off with Hyetal and Gwilym GoldWatch the new video for the London musicians' collaborative track Infinite SleepShareLink copied ✔️November 21, 2014MusicFirst LookTextCharlie Robin Jones Hyetal and Gwilym Gold are two of London's most significant and interesting musicians. Both have new projects on the horizon – Hyetal will release his third album next year, while Gwilym is following projects with Eddie Peake and his random music-generation machine Bronze with further music very soon. But here, they got together again to set a new video out into the world. On the brink between sparseness and song, "Infinite Sleep" – obliquely influenced by The-Dream and DJ Mustard's pared-down approach to music – hovers into an epic moment. "Apparently As The World Turns is one of the longest-running soap operas in history," Gwilym explains. "There is a line in a book I was reading called The Pale King: a character is watching telly and the sort of voiceover says: “you are watching As The World Turns”, it kind of gets the double meaning of the song." Noise musician Gramrcy produced the video in after-affects, adding a further layer of beautiful haze to the track.
