14 people are feared dead after disaster struck during a 4Minute performance in Seongnam, just south of Seoul. According to reports, a ventilation grate collapsed underneath the audience and fans plummeted 65 feet into an underground parking lot while watching the K-pop band. Many more are said to be injured.  

According to Yonhap News, the accident took place at 5.53 pm at Pangyo Techno Valley, a multi-purpose complex for tech firms. Around 700 people were said to be in attendance, with the victims reported to have been standing on top of the grate to get a better view of the concert, at which numerous K-pop acts were performing.

Dance-pop group 4Minute formed in 2009 and have swiftly become one of Korea's most beloved and well-known bands. Our thoughts go out to anyone affected by the tragedy.
