Darkside is "coming to an end, for now"

Darkside are splitting up ‘for now’

Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington announce their final show together and release two final tracks

Darkside have released two tracks online and announced that they are splitting – at least for the time being. Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington teased fans on Twitter with a cryptic message announcing a "last show" and advising them that "this is the end, for now". No reasons have been given for the breakup.

The prog-electronica duo released their first EP on Jaar's now defunct Clown and Sunset label back in 2011 and followed it up in 2013 with their first LP, Psychic, a record that received widespread critical acclaim. Their last show for the forseeable future will be on September 12 at the Masonic Temple in Brooklyn.

Along with their announcement that they're calling it a day, Darkside also posted two tracks that didn't quite make the cut on Psychic. Check the tracks out below and read a full length interview with Darkside here, taken from the November 2013 issue of Dazed.
