This arrives just after another supposed snippet was leaked several weeks ago by production duo Da Internz. So while he's busy sporting matching newlywed leathers, the rumour mill is spiralling out of control. Who be leakin'? Is it a new track he laid with the relatively unknown rapper Pizzle? Or Travi$ Scott? Or Young Thug? "I went to Kanye's house and we did a couple of songs," Thug told Complex back in January. "The fact that I was [making songs] so fast amazed him too, because he doesn’t see a lot of people who rap like that." While the headlines have been flooding in about their wedding last weekend, their $750k gold-plated throne (watch it!), and a prospective sibling for North after their Irish honeymoon, 'Ye's been busy, but what has he really been up to? In this snippet for "Black Bruce Wayne", Yeezy demonstrates his knowledge of French (the language, not Montana) and in another snippet, Kanye raps about his daughter North West saying “her father is the black Bruce Wayne, only shorty in preschool rocking 2 Chainz", pointing to this being potential new material. "You don't see murder like this, this often," West spits on the new Adidas "All or Nothing" advert in a song one could assume was called "God Level". The commercial was helmed by Fernando Meirelles (City of God), and is most likely a tie-in with his new deal with Adidas. It's a track with throbbing, sparse percussion, belted together with shots of A-list footballers going H.A.M. Let's just hope this doesn't become Kanye's "Standing on the Sun". And much like Beyoncé, he isn't satisfied with just giving fans simply an 'album'. There will be an accompanying film, penned by teen disillusion diehard Bret Easton Ellis and directed by Hype Williams. The news came back in February from BEE himself, stating that he was working with West on a film project. "I didn't want to at first," Ellis told The Guardian. "Then I listened to Yeezus. It was early summer last year and I was driving in my car. He'd given me an advance copy, and I thought, regardless of whether I'm right for this project, I want to work with whoever made this. So fuck it, I said yes. And that's how it happened. That was seven or eight months ago. We'll see what happens." Hype Williams directed videos "Diamonds From Sierra Leone", "Gold Digger", "Can’t Tell Me Nothing", "Stronger", and "All of the Lights". So they've got something going on. Williams also wrote the script for his short film, Runaway. There's also a trailer: Much has been spliced together about his forthcoming summer album, which will be his seventh studio release. It's been recorded in LA and Florence. It's twelve tracks long. It may or may not include a laundry list of collaborators including Q-Tip, James Blake, Malik Yusef and Gee Roberson. It's going to sound "a bit like Otis Redding, a bit like Mobb Deep", according to Evian Christ, with a buffet of soul samples. Will his film hit theatres at the same time as his album hits the airwaves, in a mic-stealing, Beyoncé-trumping visual album? Lord knows, but at the moment he's honeymooning in Prague, enjoying a bit of Kolache and a lot of "Uh-huh, honey". Escape the algorithm!
