The British-born singer's unique sounds are an amalgamation of her Algerian, Italian and Norwegian heritage, and reveals her fascination with North African music and aesthetics. Despite having been influenced by the likes of Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald, YADi's inimitable vocal style has proved to be equally fitting over experimental electronica, working with high profile producers Johan Hugo (Santigold, M.I.A.), Ariel Rechtshaid (HAIM, Major Lazer) and Hotflush label head Scuba.
