Earlier this month, Dazed and Sonos launched our first mix series competition, the Evolution of Listening, to showcase new music from and for our talented readers. The competition will be judged by some of the world's finest DJs, including Actress, Veronica Vasicka, Raf Daddy (2 Bears), and Andy Votel, where so far, we've had over 160 impressive submissions. At the end of the competition, the unique panel of judges will be listening to your selections and the winner will take home a Sonos Wireless Hi-Fi System worth £1,000, plus a featured Dazed monthly mix and a Q&A spot on the site.

To enter, upload a mix of no more than 20 minutes on Mixcloud, title the mix 'Sonos X Dazed Evolution Of Music' and tag it 'Dazed x Sonos' before July 1, 2012. For more details and the rules on entering check out the project HERE.

Dazed Digital: What are the main factors that make a good mix for you?
Raf Daddy: It kind of depends when you listen to it. A mix you'd play on a long drive is different to one you'd play at a barbecue or while you're getting ready to go out. A good mix should have some kind of narrative thread that you can follow and elements of surprise.

DD: How long did it take you to make your mix and what equipment did you use to do it?
Raf Daddy: I spent a couple of afternoons on it. I always like to do one pass and sleep on it then make the required tweaks with a fresh pair of ears the next day. I did it on Ableton with my homeboy YoungTEE.

DD: What has been your favourite mix from the last three months?
Raf Daddy: I really like Andrew Weatherall's Masterpiece mixes.

DD: What are you most looking forward to right now?
Raf Daddy: I have a baby boy on the way. Ahhhhh!
