The young San Franciscan debuts her new tracks and video for single 'Doctor Don't Know' fusing her eclectic tastes for hip hop beats and unique vocals
San Francisco's K. Flay (known to mum as Kristine Flaherty) presents the video for her new single, 'Doctor Don't Know' alongside the exclusive stream of her new tracks. Raised outside of Chicago, Flaherty drew musical inspiration from her father’s classic rock records which sparked her own eclectic tastes in music. Taking a stand in the Bay Area hip hop scene with her own unique vocals inspired by the likes of Missy Elliott and Lauryn Hill, the young gun is now a musical whirlwind - producing beats, singing, rapping and playing guitar. Sharing stages with huge artists like Snoop Dogg and Ludacris, she's now embarking on her own tour in the UK this May to play Camden's Koko and Proud Galleries.

I can juggle semi-competently and bake chocolate cakes. Without flour.

It was my nickname at university and since it kind of rhymed I was cool with it.

Rapidly spinning ceiling fans.
...your worst fashion secret?
I'm pretty sure I've worn the same pair of jeans for like a month and a half.

This dude sitting next to me on the plane. Quit hogging the armrest.

The new Kills record, 'Blood Pressures.'
How would you describe your work?
It's a mix of hip hop and indie rock - a little bit slacker, a little bit studious. Like if you took a drum machine and made it go to prom with very delicious banana pudding.
