Since Dazed Club launched in 2022, it’s helped members make meaningful connections in the creative industries, access exclusive events, and showcase their work to a wider audience, as well as opening up the doors to the magazine’s vast archive. But that was just the beginning. Now, it’s set to do even more, with the launch of a dedicated Dazed Club app.

“The Dazed Club app is based on two principles – to jumpstart creative careers and to matchmake creatives all over the world,” says Jefferson Hack, CEO and co-founder of Dazed Media. “Dazed Club is going to shape a new creative future for global youth. Existing creative networking apps are rigged against creative development, so we have decided to build one that puts their needs and interests at the heart, empowering and equipping the next generation to make their mark in the creative industry globally.”

WHAT IS THE DAZED CLUB APP?

Built by Dazed Media, the app aims to connect users all over the world, enabling them to share projects with each other, and to link up with new creative collaborators for fresh perspectives and opportunities. How does it work, exactly? Well, first you can upload your work in the form of images, videos, and links. From there, you can join groups, seek advice from worldwide experts, or just enjoy exploring.

“I’m so excited to meet new people, find new talent and learn so much from the community we at Dazed hope to represent.” says Dazed editor-in-chief IB Kamara. “I hope that it will be a powerful resource for finding new collaborators and creative inspiration for everyone.”

IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT NETWORKING

Once you’ve found a network of like-minded creatives, the Dazed Club app includes a host of other features to help kickstart your creative career. In terms of collaboration, this includes tools you can use to publish project briefs, optimise your content for a focused target audience, and access creative tutorials or set up your own.

“The app is a whole new ecosystem for next generation creatives,” says creative director Jack Sunnucks, adding that it’s been built with the help of original Dazed Club members, and shaped by the community that will use it most. “You might be an illustrator looking for an animator, a photographer looking for a stylist, a filmmaker looking for a specific location, or a musician looking for a producer,” he explains. “Dazed Club is now able to not only offer behind-the-scenes access into the world of creative work, but unprecedented access to other young people all over the world, to build their creative circles.”

In case new networking and collaboration opportunities aren’t already enough, the Dazed Club app will also feature input from Dazed’s very own creative and editorial teams. Together, they will scour the app for outstanding creative projects, and provide the best with an unparalleled platform across the magazine’s print, digital, and social channels. Who knows?
