Or fancied yourself the founder of the next Dazed? If so, then you’re in luck, because Making It Up As We Go Along – the monthly programme of educational events that sees Dazed editors share their expertise and advice on how to break into the creative industries – is back, and this time it’s focused on teaching you how to put together and publish a physical magazine. Dazed’s photographic director Jo Evendon and photographic producer Takiyah Blaize, as well as AnOther Magazine’s photographic producer Beth Mingay, are all on board for this month’s iteration of the event, to give you a leg up with your publishing dreams. Together, they will discuss the daunting task of keeping your cool when producing multiple shoots, with multiple contributors, simultaneously in countries all over the world. On top of that, they will also take attendees through their own journey of creating the latest issues, touching on topics such as planning and timekeeping, working with leading creatives, and how to navigate tight schedules and last minute changes. Interested in finding out how the pages of Dazed and AnOther come together? The new Making It Up As We Go Along event will run on Wednesday September 21, at the Dazed Space Studio in central London. Tickets are £8 (get them here), with free entry for Dazed Club members. Escape the algorithm! Get The DropEmail address SIGN UP Get must-see stories direct to your inbox every weekday.
