Pornhub announces a Big Package to help businesses affected by coronavirus

The adult site is offering free ad space to small companies that have been hit hard by the pandemic

Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, Pornhub has been offering a helping hand. The adult site launched its ‘Cleanest Porn Ever’ campaign to help users stay clean “even when getting dirty”; dropped a handful of ‘Scrubhub’ videos teaching people how to wash their hands; given free premium porn to the whole world; and offered to stream a cancelled indie film festival.

Now, in its latest altruistic move, Pornhub has announced its Big Package (get it?) project – a relief initiative to help small businesses that have been hit hard by the pandemic. The adult site is offering companies with 100 employees or less the chance to create a series of customised ads to feature (for free) on the website. A selection of 100 businesses will be awarded one billion ad impressions, harnessing Pornhub’s 130 million daily users.

“We noticed that when it comes to which businesses are more easily bouncing back from the pandemic, size matters,” Pornhub’s vice president, Corey Price, said in a press release, “and over 100,000 small businesses have already permanently closed due to coronavirus.”

He continued: “Bolstering an eclectic user base made up of various demographics, businesses that advertise with us are not only able to connect with their target audience, but enhance their overall brand visibility, especially during this time when the world is more digitally connected than ever.”

In a video announcing the campaign, a number of companies share ads that they’ve had featured on Pornhub. Notable quotes from the ads include: “Do you like bush?” (a florist), “You’ll swallow every last drop” (a coffee shop), and “We’ll shave it all off” (a barber).
