But that was just the beginning. Next up is a special preview of Magic Farm, the new feature-length film from artist and filmmaker Amalia Ulman, starring Chloë Sevigny. Premiered at the 2025 Sundance film festival, Magic Farm stars Sevigny as Edna, the leader of a hapless American documentary crew in search of their next viral film segment – rounded out by her producer, played by Simon Rex, and three junior filmmakers. When they land in the wrong town in rural Argentina, in search of a ‘local’ music star, chaos predictably ensues, featuring a cast of eccentric locals, a fake music trend, and an unfolding health crisis. Following Ulman’s debut feature film, El Planeta, Magic Farm will hit UK cinemas on May 16. Dazed x MUBI Cinema Club, however, is giving you a chance to get a sneak peek at the surreal comedy on May 14, with a screening at Dalston’s Rio Cinema (doors opening at 6pm). This will begin with a special recorded Q&A with Ulman and actor Joe Apollonio, hosted by Dazed Club creative director Jack Sunnucks. Sound good? Grab tickets to the screening here, all including a free drink and popcorn. Dazed Club members are also eligible for discounted tickets (find out more here).
