The eight-part Hulu series, directed by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya, Cruella), follows Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee’s infamous sex tape that was stolen and leaked to the public in 1995. Released today (November 18), the trailer sees an unrecognisable James shooting the infamous Baywatch beach run, as well as the aftermath of the tape being leaked. “It’s not a big deal to me, I’m on that tape same as you,” Stan says. James replies: “No, not like me you’re not.” Seth Rogen plays the man who distributed the recording, while Parks And Recreation’s Nick Offerman stars as his accomplice. “It’s like we’re seeing something we’re not supposed to be seeing,” Offerman says in the trailer, adding: “Which is kind of what makes it so hot.” After a four-day romance that resulted in a whirlwind marriage, Anderson and Lee’s tape was never meant to be shared. But the video was stolen and distributed across video store shelves, despite the couple’s attempts to sue. Nevertheless, it’s widely considered the OG celebrity sex tape: Pamela walked so Kim K could run. Pam and Tommy will be released on Hulu on February 2, 2022. Watch the trailer below.
