Macaulay Culkin will join American Horror Story for its tenth season

The new episodes of the show will also reunite many of the franchise’s fan favourite cast members

The upcoming season of American Horror Story will be the show’s tenth since it first aired in 2011, so it’s fair to expect something special. Already, a host of fan favourites have been confirmed to be returning in the upcoming episodes, including Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, who were notably absent in season nine.

And now, another name has been added to the cast list, and it’s a newcomer: Macaulay Culkin.

Creator Ryan Murphy made the announcement about the Home Alone star’s first regular TV role in a video on Instagram today (February 26), which also listed other cast members in an AHS-style credits sequence set to Orville Peck’s “Dead of Night”.

Besides Culkin, this confirms that previous cast members Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Finn Wittrock, Lily Rabe, Billie Lourd, and more will return (along with the aforementioned stars, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson).

All of these familiar faces are in-keeping with Murphy’s previous comments about the upcoming series, in which he said fan-favourites will be reunited, “because it might be our last season” (although we now know this actually isn’t the case, as the show has been renewed for three more seasons, taking it through to an appropriately-spooky 13).

Despite all the new information, Murphy still hasn’t revealed the title or theme for the upcoming tenth season.
