Film & TV / NewsFilm & TV / NewsThe producers of Euphoria have issued an open casting call for season two‘No acting experience necessary’ for a chance to join the much-acclaimed, subversive seriesShareLink copied ✔️January 21, 2020January 21, 2020Text Thom Waite In July last year, Euphoria was renewed before its much-acclaimed first season even came to a close, and an HBO teaser for the network’s 2020 releases confirms that it’s going to be airing this year. That doesn’t mean the casting process is over though, and the producers are giving anyone a chance to get in on the action. A recently-released open casting call – “no acting experience necessary” – lays out a few new characters that will feature in the show’s second season, from Ray (“Working class. Pure heart. Scrappy but a fighter”) to dream role Ami (“Drug Addict. Stripper. Talks shit. Can’t read a room”). Whether newcomers end up getting the roles, or more familiar faces, they’ll be joining a stellar cast. Euphoria’s debut centred on Zendaya, but also saw some great performances from Dazed100ers Hunter Schafer and Alexa Demie, among others. In-show (and almost IRL) dom Barbie Ferreira also looks set to be returning, if another teaser, posted to costar Sydney Sweeney’s Instagram earlier this month, is anything to go by. According to the announcement, the open casting call ends January 27. via Instagram/@a24Escape the algorithm!
