The director, who’s been the subject of much controversy in recent years, explained his reasoning as wanting to leave behind a solid legacy that leaves audiences wanting more. With his ninth film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood hitting UK cinemas, this leaves room for one last film. At a Moscow press conference for his latest film on Wednesday, the filmmaker confirmed there’s still has “one more to make”, describing his final movie as “epilogue-y”. “If you think about the idea of all the movies telling one story and each film is like a train boxcar connected to each other, this one would sort of be the big show-stopping climax of it all, and I could imagine that the tenth one would be a little more epilogue-y,” he said. While no further details have been revealed, the Pulp Fiction director has in the past spoken about his interest in making a Star Trek movie, but whether that’s a part of his master plan, we don’t know. So what’s next for the filmmaker? Well, in a recent interview with GQ Australia, he said: “I think when it comes to theatrical movies, I’ve come to the end of the road. I see myself writing film books and starting to write theatre, so I’ll still be creative. I just think I’ve given all I have to give to movies.” A Kill Bill-themed comic book, anyone?
