The third and final trailer for Stranger Things season three is here and it’s taken a much darker turn. We’re streering away from the ice cream, pool scenes, and general good vibes of the last two trailers for the much more sinister.
“You let us in, and now, you are going to have to let us stay,” an eerie voice can be heard in the new clip, making it known that everything is not as chill and resolved as it first seemed in Hawkins, Indiana.
The trailer shows the main gang – Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Max (Sadie Sink), Will (Noah Schnapp), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) all coming up against something they’re totaly unsettled by, an unseen monster from the Upside-Down that they must again face up to. Throughout the action-packed trailer, they evade the prowling monster, and as it cuts to black, we hear its otherworldly roar.
“It’s building something,” says Eleven.
“No matter what happens, we have to stop him together,” says Mike.
A newly released blurb from Netflix reveals more: “It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.”
