Thailand’s version has reached season two and has launched a song with some familiar faces from the US show. It features iconic queens like Detox, Violet Chachki, Eureka, Asia O’Hara, Naomi Smalls and of course Genie, who is competing on Drag Race Thailand singing the words: “diversity, beauty, quality, freedom,” over a thumping beat. Speaking of the colourful promo video that appeared on the official Instagram for the show, Genie told Gay Times: “A few of the Ru girls were in Asia for Werq the World, so I asked if they might make a cameo for Drag Race Thailand”. She continued: “They were totally down and super sweet about it! I loved having them be part of my 90s-music-video-recorded-on-VHS fantasy!” There’ll be other opportunities to blend international drag talent with the UK instalment quickly approaching. Alan Carr and Graham Norton, are set to host the show when it drops on BBC 3 at some point this year and we’ve already put together our fantasy lineup of UK talent for the show.
