Williams, has been making waves with their hand-picked stock of beautifully intricate geometric prints and designs. After Williams and Bonhôte got together since meeting at college to become its Creative Directors five years ago, the Beyond The Valley concept store has gained an impressive following for their unique and distinct breed of geometric patterns fused with ethereal colours and natural elements. Their own graphic prints as made by Williams herself travel through mountainous terrains, to lush pinewood forests and face wild creatures like ethereal wolves and foxes on flowing fabrics like silk adorned with fringing.Speaking to Dazed Digital, Williams and Bonhôte reveal their AW10/11 Collection is based on the "sensory experiences between sleep and consciousness, facing the darkness of dreams and subconscious imagination". Inspired by the iconic performer Klaus Nomi, their prints are rather surreal and imaginative, aiming to embody the dark imagery that emanates from our sleeping imaginations. This season, their prints feature in the themes of Knit Leopard, Hypnagogic Owl and Sea Flamingo, where Bonhôte and Williams have created a pared-down yet colourful tone for autumn, harking to a time of babushkas and Russian winters. Soft palettes in grey, dusky pinks, monochrome and turquoise are paired with gold and silver metallics, whilst graphics of mystical owls or deep seas are sprinkled with snow and crystals. Soft fabrics such as chiffons and silks create dramatic and deconstructed silhouettes in the form of dresses and whimsical capes, whilst winter practicality was retained. Fitting perfectly alongside their own label, hand-selected designs by upcoming designers are also stocked in their store such as Ada Zanditon and Something Else by Natalie Wood, as well as their own collaborations with Tom Blanchin and creative duo Broken Hearts.Beyond The Valley, 2 Newburgh Street, London W1F 7RD Escape the algorithm!
