For the past five weeks, it has been almost impossible to escape the World Cup. Whether you’ve watched every match at the pub with your friends or simply been filled with fan-edit videos of players after liking one post of the world's new favourite on-pitch heartthrob, football has once again become the thing bringing people together, giving millions of people the same moments to unpack, celebrate and argue over.

Released today, Under Armour’s latest campaign is less interested in those 90 minutes than what happens afterwards. Titled Rest Less, the campaign shifts the focus away from the pressure of competition and focuses on the off-season, imagining what athletes are when they finally get a moment to themselves. Set inside the fictional Hotel Armouré, the light-hearted campaign follows a cast of athletes and creatives who, despite being off the clock, can never quite stand still.

Fronting the campaign is Ferran Torres, who, even if you know nothing about football, you’ll probably recognise as the player who is likely having the best week of his life. Fresh from his World Cup-winning goal in New York on Sunday, in the campaign the 26-year-old player and Under Armour ambassador swaps the pitch for Hotel Armouré. “I really enjoyed shooting Rest Less,” explains Torres. “It feels different from the usual sports campaign and shows another side of athletes beyond competition. It’s exciting to see Under Armour taking Sportswear in this direction, blending performance with style and culture in a really fresh way.”

Alongside Torres, the campaign also stars fellow footballers Fermín López and Ollie Watkins, who join artist Rilès, social creator Sharky and actor Nick Mohammed. “This campaign shows a side of athletes people don’t always get to see,” Watkins adds. “The off-season isn’t about sitting still; it’s about enjoying yourself and finding different ways to stay active. That’s why I enjoyed being part of the Rest Less campaign – a chance to show a different side of me off the pitch and not take things too seriously.”

Long recognised for its performance apparel, the AW26 collection featured in the campaign continues Under Armour's mission to expand its Sportswear offering. Designed to be both functional and comfortable, the line focuses on pieces that can naturally exist in everyday life, on and off the pitch. Mixing classic lightweight sportswear pieces, the collection features a range of graphic and colorblock tees, shorts, relaxed separates and the new UA Sola footwear.

As athletes increasingly become a more integral part of daily conversations in pop culture, as much as they do in sport, Rest Less is Under Armour’s attempt at showing more of everyone’s favourite players outside of the sport or the moments we all see. “Today’s athletes shape culture just as much as they shape sport, and that’s a shift we're embracing through our Sportswear strategy,” says Brian Connell, EMEA Brand Director. “Rest Less reflects our belief that performance doesn't stop at the final whistle. By celebrating how our athletes express themselves beyond competition, we’re continuing to build a Sportswear offering that sits at the intersection of performance, style and culture.”
