This year, that gathering returned, bringing together the global Dazed Media family once again to mark the launch of the China edition and celebrate the next chapter of Dazed, AnOther, Another Man and NOWNESS across China. Hosted by Jefferson Hack, Co-Founder and CEO of Dazed Media; Adrian Joffe, CEO of Dover Street Market, Thomas Shao, Founder and CEO of Meta Media Group, and Xuan Feng, Honorary Editor-in-Chief and Partner of Huasheng Media, “The China Edition” cocktail party brought together editors, creatives and designers. DAZED TAKEOVER DSM Photography Darren Gerrish Taking over Dover Street Market Paris, the evening transformed the space into a meeting point between the different worlds of Dazed Media, Huasheng Media and Meta Media Group, bringing together the UK and Chinese editions of the titles in one place. The event celebrated the launch of Dazed China specifically, which released its first issue last week, with Chloe Zao appearing on the cover. THERE WERE GUESTS FROM ACROSS THE WORLD AND THE INDUSTRY Photography Darren Gerrish Editors from the HQ and Chinese editions of Dazed, AnOther, Another Man and NOWNESS welcomed guests throughout the evening, including Imruh Asha, Sharon Chiu, Dan Cui, Ellie Grace Cumming, Susannah Frankel, Audrey Hu, Gavin Humphries, Bunny Kinney, Jeff Lee, Monica Mong, Marios Mystidis, Scene Pena, Mia Shen, Ted Stansfield, Jack Sunnucks, Nate Tian, Lawrence Xiao and Jas Xue. The celebration brought together a mix of creatives, designers and cultural figures including Michèle Lamy, Stephane Ashpool, Han Chong, Yu Masui, Louis-Gabriel Nouchi, Marc Ascoli, Martine Sitbon, Jeff Mills, Jwan Yosef, Saul Nash, Mindy Seu, Blake Abbie, Lux Gillespie, Alexander Roth, Deto Black, Goldie Williams Vericain, Oscar Ouyang, Larry Vickers, Louie Banks and Eudon Choi, alongside senior representatives from leading brands and maisons including Asics, Auralee, Balenciaga, Cartier, Carven, Casablanca, Celine, Chanel, Comme des Garçons, Converse, Dior, Frederic Malle, Hermès, Hugo Boss, Icicle, KCD, Keen, Loewe, Maje, Matiere Première, Our Legacy, Puig, Salomon, Self Portrait, Simone Rocha and Zara. A SPECIAL TOTE BAG AS A SOUVENIR Photography Darren Gerrish To celebrate the launch, Dazed Media collaborated with Alix Ross of Farmer’s Daughter to create bespoke limited-edition bags for the evening, alongside specially designed Dazed China and NOWNESS China tote bags. Guests were also able to discover limited-edition zines and magazines from across the Dazed Media, Huasheng Media and Meta Media Group portfolio, celebrating the publications and creative voices shaping the next stage of the story. DRINKS, FOOD AND DJS Photography Darren Gerrish The evening continued with a DJ set from Louise Chen, with guests enjoying cocktails including margaritas and palomas courtesy of Tico Tequila. Culinary studio Reussette served seasonal dishes throughout the night, including mini tacos, tartlets, and bell pepper and tomato confit.
