It may only be the end of May, but it feels more like mid-July here in London. With temperatures soaring well into the 30s, it was a belter of a bank holiday. Naturally, us Brits faced the age-old problem of not knowing how to dress for the heat. In London Fields alone, there were several pairs of black skinny jeans and Dr Martens. Clearly, we’ve got a long way to go before we master the art of the summer wardrobe, but we can start by swapping boots for something a little more airy. For example…

GANNI X MELISSA

Jelly shoes are about to be all the rage this summer and Ganni is getting involved. The Danish brand has teamed up with Brazilian footwear company Melissa to launch a collection of jelly flip flops, available with and without a kitten heel. See here.

JW ANDERSON X DIADORA

JW Anderson has launched its first ever collaboration with Italian heritage brand, Diadora, known for its sportswear and footwear. Jonathan Anderson has reinterpreted the brand’s classic Equipe trainer, a style that was first created for athletes back in 1975. See here

STONE ISLAND X NEW BALANCE

Stone Island and New Balance have been working together for half a decade now, but earlier this month the two brands dropped the latest iteration of their ongoing collaboration. The new capsule collection keeps football at its core, with a campaign fronted by Bukayo Saka and Endrick. See here.

 DIESEL X TINDER

Just in time for Pride month, Diesel is feeling the love with Tinder. The Italian brand has teamed up with the dating app for a very special capsule collection, spanning denim, ready-to-wear and accessories. Cleverly, they’ve swapped Diesel’s usual slogan (“For Successful Living”) with a new one: “For Successful Loving”. See here

HAVAIANAS X ISABEL MARANT

It’s been a big week for flip flops! Not only has everyone in London had their toes out in the heat, but several major brands have revealed new flip flop collabs (like Ganni, above). Isabel Marant has turned to flip flop royalty, Havaianas, to help with its interpretation of the shoe, resulting in four colourways and two silhouettes. See here.

A$AP ROCKY X PUMA

The latest release in spiky shoes comes via A$AP Rocky’s new PUMA Mostro 3D Mule. Earlier this month, the rapper continued his ongoing creative partnership with the sportswear giant by dropping the new style. It first debuted at New York Fashion Week, during his AWGE show. See here.

VANS X BETTER WITH AGE

Vans linked up with LA-based brand Better With Age earlier this month, launching a new pair of shoes in a DIY style. The trainers are in-keeping with Better With Age’s upcycled approach to luxury fashion, decorated with vintage patches and beads. See here.

COACH X BRAIN DEAD

Coach has tapped LA-based streetwear label Brain Dead for a new collaborative capsule collection. Available online from tomorrow, the collection spans ready-to-wear, leather goods, footwear and accessories, and is inspired by Tokyo street style.
