Titled ‘Humiliation Rituals’, the collection explores the contradictions of power – “where control is fragile, dominance is desperate, and authority ultimately exposes its own humiliation,” reads the release. ‘Made by refugee women’ were the words written across one hooded white top and elsewhere, the recognisable sword motif was present in bracelets and belts looping around the body. The words ‘Keep calm and…’ were followed by more sword symbols, a sign of both protection and defiance. Models wore militarised silhouettes and bureaucratic motifs, symbolizing a rejection of authority. Watch the film here, or see all the looks by clicking through the gallery above. We met Roly Walmsey, the designer paying tribute to rogue 00s fashion; Donatella landed a new gig; Rachel Sennott became the face of Balenciaga; and we wondered, are celebrities using fashion to manifest their dream roles?
