This afternoon, at Milan Fashion Week’s AW25 menswear edition, Jordan Bowen and Luca Marchetto ended their new season show by getting up on stage to say “I do” in front of friends, family, and a shitload of international press, and plenty of those lining the pews cracked with emotion (hello, it’s me x). The two designers met over 14 years ago in an East London toilet, their officiant told the crowd, when Marchetto hadn’t long arrived in London, and Bowen was actually on another (boring) date. They made their excuses and slipped out to meet at a bus stop, where they talked for hours and shared a couple of snogs. With a language barrier and the fact Marchetto didn’t want anything serious at that point, they parted ways, but stayed friends, until Bowen confessed to Marchetto he “still [made] my heart race”. Despite their differences, they realised they were better together, and the two reconciled soon after. They have been a tight unit ever since, establishing their label and looking after their dogs, fighting regularly but always figuring it out and becoming better versions of themselves, bolstered by each others’ love. With their nearest and dearest surrounding them – all kitted out in JordanLuca, obvs, after walking the show – Bowen and Marchetto put a ring on it and sealed the deal with a kiss. The collection itself riffed on established Jordanluca cornerstones, mixing fetish and pink flourishes with bridesmaid-y florals and slick wedding-appropriate tailored suits with pumped-up tuxedo jackets and signature floor-sweeping flares. Along with fierce pointy heels and bags finished with lethal metal spikes, there were also new silhouettes in the form of behemoth platform boots and clumpy lace-up Oxfords, which similarly saw models teetering down the catwalk. A show to warm the heart of even the most cynical fashion fan, we are so excited for Bowen and Marchetto. To the happy couple – congratulations from all at Dazed Fashion.
