Back in March, the world looked on as Timothée Chalamet transformed into Bob Dylan, stalking the streets of New York for new biopic A Complete Unknown. Though that movie isn’t even out yet, Timmy is already onto the next. This week, the actor was spotted back in the Big Apple, this time shooting Marty Supreme, Josh Safdie’s upcoming A24 film about ping-pong star Marty Reisman. Gone were the ratty scarves and baker boy caps of Bob, and in their place a slouchy 50s power suit with ample lapel room, plus some round specs and a bit of a struggle stash. Elsewhere, Timmy went full nerdcore in a sweater vest and slacks, and was also fully fitted out in a long navy topcoat and crimson leather gloves. As Marty, it seems the actor is bringing a decidedly different vibe to the function, and though we’re not used to a slicked-back and suited Timmy, he’s clearly pulling it off. Hats off to you, Tim!
