Last week, as Coachella 2024 kicked off in the Californian desert, Dazed Fashion boldly declared the festival was undergoing a bit of an identity crisis. While some attendees were still reaching for the tired old signifiers of mid-10s influencers, others were taking a more incognito approach, their own attempts to break free from the “festival fashion” stereotypes. While that rift is still very much happening, what offered some respite across both weekends was the on-stage style from some of our favourite acts. Whether it was Lana Del Rey with her diamond studded belt, A$AP Rocky taking a novel approach to underwear, or Tyler, the Creator cosplaying as a park ranger, the performance looks certainly had a lot more to say for themselves this year.
