Step into ‘The Craft Room’, Manolo Blahnik’s new digital archival hub

Launching today, the new online initiative gives fans access to most of the label’s rich history

Back in 2021, Manolo Blahnik celebrated its 50th anniversary with the launch of the Manolo Blahnik Archives, a digital destination made to give fans of the brand in-depth access to its history. Now to expand its digital world, the Spanish label has created a new extension to the virtual archive, focused on the celebration of its artist and artisans.

Entitled ‘The Craft Room’, the new space will unveil the hidden artistry behind Manolo Blahnik's men's and women's collections over the years. With a focus on the intricate craftsmanship of footwear and the exploration of shoe design, the extensive archive of exclusive content gives a rare peek into the world of shoemaking.

From full details on Manolo's design journey from the initial sketch to the exquisite final product to the creative process of its in-house artisans, fans will be able to discover the functional and ornamental elements of the brand. Elsewhere, there are also a plethora of editorials from renowned publications and more, offering a deeper understanding of the craft behind some of the label’s most iconic shoes.

Speaking on the new hub Kristina Blahnik, CEO of Manolo Blahnik, says: "I am delighted to showcase the craft room in our virtual archives, a place to celebrate over 5 decades of my uncle's illustrious career. The development of this digital space has been a passion of mine for many years. To finally bring it to life in 2021 was a dream come true and now to be adding a further room this year, highlighting a key pillar of our business is another milestone I'm incredibly proud of. We hope to educate you on our wonderful and skilled craft of shoemaking and show you first-hand how our dedicated artisans bring Manolo's iconic collections to life. Craftsmanship really is and always will be at the heart of everything we do."

To celebrate the launch, Manolo Blahnik has partnered with xydrobe Mayfair, an innovative luxury VR destination that combines virtual and physical experiences, to create a multi-sensory exhibition. There are 1000 complementary tickets for fans of the brand, which can be booked here.
