At this point you’re no one if you’ve not appeared in a Marc Jacobs campaign, so it makes total sense that NY’s best-loved fashion export has enlisted longtime pal and friend of the brand Debbie Harry to star front and centre in a campaign for his brand new bag.
The Blondie icon, who pioneered the NY new wave scene in the 1970s from the grubby depths of legendary club CBGBs, joins rising model Lila Moss, London designer Mowalola, and rappers BK the Rula and Destroy Lonely in the shoot.
Rounding things off is Ever Anderson, who you might know as the offspring of runway and Resident Evil icon Milla Jovovich.
Captured by Chris Rhodes and styled by Sydney Rose Thomas, the bag itself is a chic, boxy little number bearing chunky gold hardware. According to a press release, it comes in a big, tiny, and sleek clutch format, so truly, there’s something for everyone. Best of all, though, is the fact it’s called the St. Marc.
Seemingly, Jacobs isn’t leaving anything up to fate beyond death, and has instead chosen to immortalise himself with a sainthood. We wouldn’t expect anything less.
