Past partnerships have seen collections designed by the likes of Craig Green, Simone Rocha, Hiroshi Fujiwara, Pierpaolo Piccioli and Matthew Williams. Previously having sported the motto ‘One house, different voices’, Moncler Genius has continuously championed storytelling through shared creativity and community. Now for 2023, the Italian outerwear brand is moving into a new era of co-creation. Evolving from its former approach to collaboration, which brought two different brand codes together, the Moncler Genius platform will now focus on amplifying creativity and craftsmanship to create a result that two brands could not create without the other. The renewed initiative will get its first look as part of the upcoming London Fashion Week. Entitled ‘The Art of Genius’ the live show will take place at Olympia London on February 20. Celebrating creativity beyond just fashion, the event will feature immersive experiences exploring all intersections of art, design, music, entertainment, sport, and culture. From performances to creative installations curated by the likes of adidas Originals, the event will house a wide scope of concepts and collections. Calling upon some veteran members of the Moncler Genius community, there are installations courtesy of former collaborators such as Hiroshi Fujiwara’s label Fragment, Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys and Francesco Ragazzi’s label Palm Angels. Other co-creators include Mercedes-Benz, Roc Nation by Jay Z and American footwear designer Salehe Bembury. Alongside the official line-up, Moncler Genius has invited Rick Owens to be a part of the exciting event. Over the past three years, Moncler's partnership with Owens has gone from designing a bus to creating collections together. This time, for ‘The Art of Genius’, Owens has joined forces with Moncler once again to present the Moncler x Rick Owens collection alongside another secret installation which will be challenging the possibilities of design outside of simply fashion. Perhaps the best thing about the Moncler event, however, is that you can be part of it, with the brand offering up tickets to members of the public. Tickets are available via registration here and for those who cannot make it, the event will also be streamed on Moncler.com.
