Louis Vuitton showcases unseen Virgil Abloh looks, while Prada gets its Discord debut
Between the AW22 runways, Rosalía, and Rihanna, pop culture right now is v much in thrall to the biker.
As the latest proponent of Jacquemus’ SS22 collection, Sydney Sweeney just put further pedal to the metal, draping herself across a bright white Yamaha. Having held his Le Splash fashion show in Honolulu earlier this year, the Euphoria babe marks the designer’s return to Hawaii, in a slew of images shot by Tom Kneller. There, she recasts the image of a petrol-spluttering outlaw, dressed in a strappy bralette, tennis skirts, and a pair of turquoise square-toed mules redolent of Jacquemus’ Le Bleu offering.
Look closely, though, and another protagonist emerges in a pair of Nike sneakers – a preview, perhaps, of the designer’s upcoming collaboration with the sports behemoth. Having previously posed for Miu Miu, Tory Burch, and Savage x Fenty, consider this appearance Sweeney’s indoctrination as a full-on fashion girl.
In other fashion news this week, Winona Ryder landed in Marc Jacobs’ latest campaign, and Dazed launched its summer issue, fronted by A$AP Rocky, Naomi Osaka, and Bree Runway, which you can purchase here. For everything else that may have passed you by click through the gallery below.
