Whether it’s the attitude-driven Buffalo or teen girl favourite, the Fila Disruptor, the nostalgic noughties silhouette is as beloved by Depop sellers as it was by Baby Spice back in the day. Now, Converse has put their own spin on the trend with its new release of Elevated Classics. With a campaign led by south London creatives (and twin sisters) Fon and Fa, the latest collection is an experimental take on the brand’s classic All Stars. It includes the Run Star Hike in a low top iteration and Chuck Taylor All Star Move. Both have a heightened midsole and look incredibly comfy. The duo’s self-shot take on the styles is part of a worldwide collaboration with young creatives to create a lookbook for the release. Others include Milanese designer Domenico Formichetti, New York and Paris based stylist Vanille Verloës, Los Angeles creative Genai Nakama, and photographer George Annan Jr. Check out the collection above.
