This time around, the season is presented in collaboration with Gucci, with none other than creative director Alessandro Michele as its first guest. Joining podcast founder and host Liz Goldwyn in the studio (pre-COVID-19, obvs), Michele opens up about his childhood growing up in Rome, Fellini films, and how the sexiest people, to him, are in touch with both their masculine and feminine sides (I mean, we’ve all seen his runway shows, so no big surprise there). Going on to discuss how sexuality and orgasms connect with nature and humanity, the designer also explains the ways in which fashion and sex are intertwined: “I think being a designer in this era means more than just deciding the length of a skirt,” he tells Goldwyn. “I don’t care if you have the right length of your dress. I’m more concerned with the idea that you look so fucking you!” The news follows the label's announcement that it would be handing its social channels over to the World Health Organisation as a means to spread public service announcements about the coronavirus further, as well as revealing it is donating a significant amount of money to fight back against the disease. With earlier guests on the podcast including Violet Chachki, Jeremy Scott, Natasha Lyonne, and a whole host of sexperts, we highly recommend you add not just Michele’s episode to your must-listen list, but the whole back catalogue, too.
