Both rising to immense levels of fame, with Lil Nas X creating the biggest song of 2019 and Schafer staring in the hit show Euphoria, the two are now pictured together, starring in Calvin Klein’s SS20 campaign. Entitled “DEAL WITH IT,” the imagery is intended to “Celebrate unapologetic confidence and self-love,” and also stars SZA, Lay Zhang, Maluma, and Calvin Klein royalty Kendall Jenner and Justin Bieber. Lensed by Mario Sorrenti, with an accompanying video filmed by Bardia Zeinali, the campaign sees each star captured in a uniquely surreal world personal to them. With Lil Nas X sitting at a boardroom table, SZA dancing around a white sports car, and Kendall Jenner in a flower shop, for actor and model Hunter Schafer, however, the setting was a glowing bedroom fitted with pink silk sheets (very on-brand for Euphoria). “I’d rather be dreaming… Deal with it,” says Schafer in the video while wearing a black matching underwear set, then later, jeans, a white CK logo tee, and a pink 90s style windbreaker. With other looks in the campaign including some white denim dungarees and slouchy pyjama bottoms, the brand’s signature underwear is also spotted throughout.
