Its shrinking schedule has seen the likes of Telfar head to Milan, Tom Ford go to LA, and Pyer Moss skip out on this season entirely. But that doesn’t mean those involved in the week-long event are quietening down. A sentiment which rang especially true this weekend at Brandon Maxwell’s presentation. After shooting to stardom through featuring on the hit Netflix docuseries Cheer earlier this year, athletes Gabi Butler and Lexi Brumback were among those on the front row – where they did exactly what they do best: cheering. With Butler wearing a white satin mini dress and Brumback in a black jumpsuit finished off with a sequined belt, the pair seemed to be right at home at the Maxwell show, which is known for its high energy audience participation. Appearing to give ‘mat talk’, a type of encouragement known in the world of cheerleading, Butler was seen shouting and fist-pumping as models, including Bella Hadid, walked past. Going on to make an appearance at the Tory Burch show, both Brumback and Butler bumped into model Adwoa Aboah, who Butler said look very ‘trendy’. Aboah has said, “I will not stop until I am a member of Navaro.” The world of fashion feels absolutely boundless right now. Meanwhile, their teammate Jerry Harris – who has recently signed with an influencer agency – was at the Oscars interviewing Billie Eilish and Brad Pitt. NBD.
