Just a few weeks after he slayed the red carpet in a custom Baja East look at the 2020 Grammy Awards (seriously: that hat), Billy Porter was back to do it all over again at tonight’s Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles, this time in some pretty major Giles Deacon. 

Having first teased the look on his Instagram account by way of some heavy #sponcon (get those $ Billy!), the look was made up of a regal handmade bustier crafted from gold leaves and a full, printed silk skirt which trailed behind him as he walked, as finished with a pair of lace-up gold platforms by Jimmy Choo.

Essentially, it was drama, drama, drama from the off, and, given the Pose icon was one of the first arrivals out onto the red carpet, means those following are likely to be shaking in their Louboutins.
