It wasn’t so long ago Simon Porte Jacquemus announced his new cafe in Paris, and more recently Prada opened its bakery, Marchesi 1824, in London. Now, Fendi has announced its summer takeover of the famous London department store, Harrods. Entitled, Fendi Caffe, the pop-up was designed by visual artist Joshua Vides and features the iconic double FF logo as both coffee art and interior decor. True to the LA-based artist’s style of monochrome illustrations, the location includes black-and-white unique graphics. Although the cafe will feature an array of Italian delicacies to taste, it’s not your usual cafe. While there will be breakfast and lunch options – booze too (!) – instead of edible baguettes, the café will also host Fendi’s most iconic Baguette handbag. In addition, attendees will be able to see a sequin re-edition of Silvia Venturini Fendi’s 1997 Baguette bag, as well as create their own bespoke versions of the Fendi Peekaboo handbag – courtesy of the ‘Peekaboo Bar’. Elsewhere, the Men’s Piazza pop-up sell the men’s AW19 accessories and the Shoe Heaven pop – which will last until the end of the year – will showcase a series of women’s footwear.
