ICYMI, at midnight Solange dropped her fourth studio album When I Get Home – a 19-track project that sees her collaborate with the likes of Sampha, Tyler the Creator, Dev Hynes, and more.
Before the album’s release, Knowles dropped accompanying visual material on Black Planet, that sees her in a number of conceptual looks (including archive Mugler) – mixing Afrofuturism with the black cowboy aesthetic. For her album cover though – shot by photographer Max Hirschberger – the singer appears wearing nothing other than a minimal eyelid hood? Browbone bar?
Created by designer Keren Wolf, the piece first appeared at Galia Lahav’s AW18 Haute Couture collection, where crystal face cages, and eyebrow covers also appeared. Other than making a strong case for eye-area jewellery, Wolf has also collaborated with Marc Jacobs on his SS19 collection – creating mouthpieces that snaked out of models’ lips. Elsewhere, she created a crown for Nicki Minaj’s Queen tour.
