Rodarte is leaving NYFW, again

Design duo Kate and Laura Mulleavy will present their AW19 collection in Los Angeles

After a season off-schedule and a season presenting in Paris, in September Rodarte returned to New York to stage its SS19 show – in a graveyard, no less. Now, the label has announced that it would be leaving once again, to present its AW19 collection in Los Angeles

“California is one of our most important influences and having our first show in Los Angeles is a dream we’ve long wished to make reality,” the label’s founders Kate and Laura Mulleavy told Vogue.

Hailing from Pasadena, the sisters will present the latest collection in a location not far from where they grew up. While California has been an ongoing inspiration for the pair, the AW19 show will mark the first time the label has presented a show on the West Coast.
