Having enlisted eight designers – including Craig Green, Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli, and Hiroshi Fujiwara – the Italian label tasked them with creating their own capsule collections, three of which have been released at various points throughout the year. Now, Moncler is ready to present its fourth, with Simone Rocha next in line. Rocha’s collaboration with the Italian brand features less abstract silhouettes than those of her predecessor Craig Green’s collection, and is more ready-to-wear in focus – with floral embroidery and pearl embellishment seen across voluminous jackets, ankle-length dresses, and knitwear. Incorporating Rocha’s signature colour palette of red, pink, ivory and black, the capsule collection – shot by Colin Dodgson and styled by Dazed’s creative director Robbie Spencer for the accompanying campaign – is inspired by Victorian mountain climbers of the 19th century, and echoes the idea of functional femininity. The Moncler Genius project was conceived as a platform to challenge creativity, technological innovation, and research, while maintaining the brands’ ethos and core values: “We have chosen designers that differ greatly from each other as we have always spoken to different generations”, says Moncler’s CEO Remo Ruffini. “We constantly need to offer new experiences and new ideas. Moncler Genius is divided into several collections over the year. We have overhauled everything, by overcoming the very concept of seasons.” With the purpose of defying seasonal buying habits, Moncler has been releasing the Genius collaborative collections on a monthly basis since June. This autumn, the lines will be reunited in several Moncler flagships as well as in pop-up stores around the world. 4 Moncler Simone Rocha is due to hit Moncler boutiques and selected stores on September 20. 4 Moncler Simone RochaPhotography Colin Dodgson, styling Robbie SpencerExpand your creative community and connect with 15,000 creatives from around the world.READ MOREPut me in Chanel: The 25 best songs named after fashion brandsBianca Saunders teams up with the Tate for Blake-inspired collectionCult icon John Malkovich is the new face of JW AndersonShawna Wu’s designs loop and knot between past and presentMelanie Ward: Remembering the trailblazing stylist in her own wordsFashion Killa: Revisit A$AP Rocky’s most iconic outfits CrocsTried and tested: taking Crocs new boots on a trial through LondonSP5DER’s ‘Sweet Tooth Rodeo’ was a love letter to Black cowboy culture080 Barcelona Fashion080 Barcelona Fashion Week, these were your best momentsSia Arnika wants to dress you like a ‘Harbor Bitch’Our favourite pop culture Halloween costumes for 2025Grace Wales Bonner is heading to Hermès
