With that in mind, it seems like a lot of labels are wishing they were elsewhere, as they literally transport us to faraway locations with their images. Alexander McQueen heads to San Francisco for its offering, with models posing among the city’s landmarks. Calvin Klein took us a little further, showcasing Raf Simons’ AW18 collection against a bizarre otherworldly backdrop of green skies and hovering mountains. Similarly out of this world, Gucci created an Alice In Wonderland-like setting for its latest series of images. Elsewhere, brands enlisted a lot of big names to front their campaigns. Milla Jovovich stars solo in Balmain’s, while the Juergen Teller-shot Vivienne Westwood images feature designer Matty Bovan – who wore three looks at the label’s AW18 show – as well as a gang of models, artists, two dogs(!) and Dame Viv herself. In a suburban 60s throwback, Miu Miu’s stellar cast includes Elle Fanning, Rowan Blanchard, and sisters Adwoa and Kesewa Aboah, as shot by photographer Alasdair McLellan. And, just because, Stella McCartney’s models are joined by a group of bagpipers. Click through the gallery above to see the full selection.
