Bold, black and white checkerboard prints dominate in the AW18 collection, styled in a new series of images by Allegra Versace, Donatella’s daughter herself. The Dazed Studio production – shot by photographer (and former Dazed 100er) Hanna Moon and with art direction from Dazed’s Jamie Reid – skips between minimal sets patterned to match the garments. Adesuwa – who graces this year’s Dazed 100 list – appears with her signature dreadlocks alongside a cast of up-and-coming London models who lounge in checkerboard graphic jackets and shirts against a background of polka dots and stripes. Monochrome, the clothes and sets alike buck this season’s more colourful trends – which might help to explain the ‘Against the Expected’ title.
