While an initial announcement stated he was set to become the president of the brand's basketball division, Puma has clarified today that he will only be operating on a creative level and will not be involved in the selection of players for the team. His role will involve working on art direction within the company, as well as coming up concepts for the basketball team. This news of Jay's appointment coincides with the brand’s return to basketball after 20 years, with the signing of a series of top NBA players to its division. The rapper already has ties with the brand after they supported his 4.44 tour by providing shoes and clothing last year.
