With the upcoming Cruise 2019 show to be held in Arles, France, it seems the designer is taken with the country, moving the SS19 show there too. “All the places I travel to for cruise also belong to my personal story,” Michele told WWD. “They are heartfelt places, which have a lot of meaning to me. Nothing is accidental.” Maybe the severed heads at the last Gucci show were a clue. Paying homage to France’s famous guillotine perhaps? Little is known about what the Paris-based show will entail but as with the Italian house’s most recent collections, the upcoming SS19 show will be co-ed – featuring both the latest menswear and womenswear offerings.
