Since its relaunch in 2009, Versace’s Versus has championed a new, authentic generation of culture players. Sub Versus 2 continues in the vein of FW17, but this time the playful campaign taking things into the City of Angels with its most vibrant subcultures, shot by photographer Ben Toms, styled by Dazed’s creative director Robbie Spencer and art direction by Jamie Reid. The crew includes visual artist Ama Elsesser, models Hayley Ashton, Lilliya Reid, and TJ, Marley Camacho and Dagsen Love, actress Fig Abner, musician Lindsey Shrederley and skater Olan Prenatt. The breezy, sun-dappled campaign visual, produced by Dazed Studio, is soundtracked by LA’s own Def Sound. “This group of young minds in Los Angeles really tells the story of what the Versus sub-culture stands for: attitude, defiance, and the real issues of a new creative generation,” artistic director Donatella Versace said of the campaign.
