Titled “Nine Of a Kind”, it features unretouched portraits of influential women from across the Insta world, including Art Hoe Collective founder Gabrielle Richardson, Slutever’s Karley Sciortino, and artist Ajani Lucid. The campaign, which was shot by June Canedo, also features trans model Aurel Haize Odogbo, stylist Marcela Jacobina and ballerina Anna Collins (sister of Petra), designer Georgia Pratt, model Paloma Elsesser, and Canedo's own mother Rogeria. Much like the label’s highly praised August shoot with Lena Dunham and Jemima Kirke, the images remain free from any unrealistic tweaks or photoshopping. According to Lonely’s designer and founder, Helene Morris, this choice helps to “celebrate” the “individuality” of its stars. “(These are) independent women who can collectively say they are proud to be themselves,” she said in a statement. “Through intimate portraits of nine inspiring women, we celebrate our differences, our different ages, our different bodies, our different stories, the differences that make us who we are.” Zara Mirkin, who styled the campaign, added that the unretouched images were packed with strong, body positive messaging. “I just want women to accept who they are and appreciate what they bring to this world and very importantly be proud of what they look like,” she explained. “Any size or skin colour.” See the full campaign in the gallery above, or check out the collection on the Lonely website here.
